Chris Robichaud

“I started 93-North because I saw a void in the marketplace.  There are some major technologies on the immediate horizon but very few people are really paying attention to the impact they could have on business and society.  

 

For the past three decades, I have been blessed to have worked with the biggest brands and creative storytellers in the world to help them take the latest technology and incorporate it into the fabric of society.  93-North gives me a chance to use my experience, as well as my obsession with the future to build the next wave of companies that could change the fabric of what we know today.”

Building has always been at the heart of Chris Robichaud’s career.   His latest endeavor, 93-North is focused on building companies that harness the next frontier of technology – Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Cars (Autonomous & Electric) and Video Games and Virtual Worlds.

 

Prior to starting 93-North, he was Co-CEO of PMK•BNC, a leading global marketing and communications agency based in London, NYC and LA. Leading the agency for 27 years, he helped build many client brands and transformed the firm into a leading global agency. he amassed vast experience in the worlds of entertainment and consumer brands. Robichaud was focused on not only helping clients solve problems, but also ensuring the agency continues to lead them into the future, while always delivering on its business objectives. He developed a strategic, long-term vision for the agency that led to incredible client success, as well as impressive growth, diversification and the international and digital expansion of PMK•BNC. This future forward focus, combined with his strong business foundation led to double digit growth for the agency, and best of class financial performance.   

 

Over the course of his career, Robichaud has worked closely with clients to create not only award-winning campaigns, but campaigns that move the cultural needle.  Robichaud and his team have helped not only establish brands, but also turn them into cultural phenomenon’s including Haig Club Whisky, Audi, Samsung Mobile, Project Red, Norman Lear’s Declare Yourself, TMobile Sidekick, Cadillac Escalade, Sony PlayStation 2 and Smirnoff Ice.

 

Having worked with a who’s who of clients in both entertainment and consumer brand world (including Audi, Diageo, T-Mobile, Red Bull, Pepsi, Samsung Mobile, YouTube, American Express, Budweiser and Beiersdorf to name a few), he has amassed an expertise in a number of different sectors including the Automotive, Gaming, Mobile, Beverage, Spirits, Sports and Entertainment Industries.

 

Always curious to learn more, Robichaud has researched and authored a number of white papers including “Beyond the Games: How Popular Culture is Shaped by a Mega-Event,” “The Media is the Message: Unlocking Popular Culture Opportunities for Brands,” and “Managing Creative Talent: Lessons From Hollywood Insiders.” That foundation spurred Robichaud’s development of the “Science of Popular Culture,” including creating a number of proprietary research tools such as The Conversation Predictive Model and the celebrity research tool, Fanatomy, which were the heart of PMK•BNC’s approach.

 

Robichaud first arrived at Bragman & Co. in 1990 as one of its first employees.  The company changed its name in 1992 to BNC, and in 1994, Robichaud was made a partner in the firm, as he lead the agencies Consumer Brands practice.  In 2001, BNC was sold to the Interpublic Group of Companies, and Robichaud continued his role as President/Chief Operating Officer.  In 2010 with the merger of PMK with BNC, he was named Co-CEO of the newly created entity, PMK*BNC.

 

Chris grew up in New Hampshire and graduated from Bentley University with a BS in Business & Corporate Communications.

Chris and I have worked together for nearly a decade. We've seen trends come and go. We've researched how history repeats itself. And we've designed our playbook to help our partners win during uncertain times.

 

There is poetry in the plumbing, and we're never afraid to roll up our sleeves and get to work.

Aditya (Adi) has a unique level of experience in seamlessly harmonizing the worlds of Creative Development, Strategy, Operations and Marketing together. Over the last 7+ years, he has worked with digital and consumer brands needing to adapt to changing trends in culture, technology, and audience diversity.

​Prior to 93-North, Adi also worked with Chris at PMK•BNC. Both worked hand-in-hand to grow the company's data analytics practice with a keen focus on identifying future trends and storylines that could be used to help brands solidify future communications plans up a decade out. 

​Today, Adi continues to balance his creative and business passions by not only working with Chris at 93-North, but also developing his music career as an independent singer/songwriter. He has sung for and toured with Oscar and Grammy Award-winners in the past, but now is on the quest to make his own mark in the industry.  ​
